Principal Consultant – Tracey Kuusk

Through consultative, front line and senior positions, Tracey brings over 25 years of diverse Human Resources experience as a hands-on generalist with organizations large and small in a variety of sectors and industry.

Tracey has been fortunate to apply her skills and passion in for-profit / private, not-for-profit / charitable, and broader public service organizations processing and managing all activities of the human resource and payroll functions, and sometimes filling temporary gaps associated with vacant senior positions. These experiences have resulted in an insight into the interplay and connectedness of systems, processes, practices, and people.

From on-boarding to off-boarding, Tracey has demonstrated success with all aspects of the employee life cycle. She has developed recruitment and onboarding systems; recommended and implemented information systems, group benefits, and organizational restructuring; conducted health and safety, HR and operational compliance audits; revised and streamlined ALL organizational policies and procedures to meet changing legislation; effectively handled labour relations, including Ministry of Labour, Human Rights and Pay Equity complaints, investigations, grievance management, mediations and arbitrations, collective bargaining, and contingency planning; developed and rolled out customized training initiatives; coached senior managers with their HR accountabilities, and provided support and guidance with professional development, performance management and terminations.

Tracey believes in a strategic and integrated approach to business solutions driven by the vision, mission, and values of the organization and that the health of an organization is impacted by the health of its people, and the efficiency of its systems.

A firm believer in sharing one’s gifts, skills and passions with community, Tracey supports a variety of initiatives in a volunteer capacity including adult literacy, youth leadership and development, youth sports, community inclusion, and as a director and subject matter expert advisor to various not for profit boards.

Always curious and an avid practitioner of lifelong learning, Tracey holds a degree in English and Cultural Studies (BA), a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management (CHRP), and a certificate in Labour Relations; she is a licensed recruiter (ID REC-0000007412), a certified yoga instructor (CYT- 200), an associate level coach (ICCP-1), and is a member of the Human Resource Professionals Association (HRPA).

Tracey is fortunate to live in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario with her husband, two sons and beautiful rescue dog, Misty. A lover of nature, she enjoys being off trail in the woods, or on a lake, whenever possible.
