Founder and Principal Consultant – Tracey Kuusk
With personal core values of compassion, courage, authenticity, and integrity as her guide, Tracey Kuusk has come full circle.
After a number of years working in an inspiring setting (Algonquin Provincial Park) in a variety of positions that sparked an overwhelming curiosity and interest in organizational systems, information systems, communications and people, Tracey determined to pursue a career in Human Resources Management.
Tracey began her HR career 21 years ago as a consultant in a human resources and payroll consulting firm, where she was exposed to a wide range of organizations with differing challenges and business needs. She heard “horror” stories from clients, and of course, the senior consultants had their own stories to tell. Over the years, Tracey had a growing sense that she did not have many specifically related human resource stories of her own, so checking in with her core values of courage and authenticity, Tracey moved on from this amazing; however ‘safe’ position to get some ‘real’ HR experience.
From there, Tracey assumed senior positions in charitable, manufacturing, and broader public service sector organizations. In all roles, Tracey operated as a hands-on human resources generalist, often as the sole practitioner, and in some cases taking on additional elements of vacant senior positions, including Operations and Finance, providing her significant insight into the interplay and connectivity of systems, processes, and practices.
Tracey has been instrumental in strategic visioning and planning, shaping the culture and priorities of the organization. From on-boarding to off-boarding, Tracey has handled and redeveloped all aspects of the employee life cycle. She has recommended and implemented organizational restructuring, information systems, and group benefits. She has conducted health and safety audits and compliance reviews, overhauling and streamlining all organizational policies and procedures to meet changing legislation. Tracey has handled the full scope of labour relations, including Ministry of Labour, Human Rights and Pay Equity complaints, mediation and arbitration, collective bargaining, and contingency planning.
Now, coming full circle, with stories of her own, Tracey has formed 360 HR Works.
Tracey believes in a strategic and integrated approach to business solutions that is driven by the vision, mission and values of the organization and that the health of any organization is impacted by the health of its human resources.
Tracey has a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resources Management and is a member of the Human Resource Professionals Association (HRPA).
Tracey is fortunate to live in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario with her husband and two young boys. She is an avid nature lover, spending time in the woods, or on a lake, whenever possible.
